About The Author

Bruce is a biblical counselor by degree, a spiritual counselor by God. He believes that no matter how much someone is biblically counseled or spiritually coached, without the personal awareness and dependence on the Spirit of God, there won’t be a change of heart, and there won’t be a long-lasting change of behavior.  We are all spiritually transforming.  We are all discovering who God is and His plans for us.  But, we must not only listen to God, we must be willing to obey Him.  Bruce listened and obeyed and was inspired to write Battle Cry.

Bruce’s Story….

Bruce’s call into ministry is unique.  After graduating from high school at the young age of seventeen, he enlisted in the Navy and served His country as a medic.  After serving in the military, he attended college, and worked for the postal service part time.  Thirty-four years later, at the age of fifty-seven, he retired as a postmaster.  Several months before retiring, while sitting on his back porch reading the Bible, Bruce felt the Spirit call him into ministry.  He heard the Spirit say “Your grandfather was a minister, and your son is a minister, do you not see you are a missing link?”

Bruce answered the call by going back to college.  He graduated with honors from Trinity College of the Bible and Trinity Theological Seminary with a BA in Biblical Counseling.  He later became an ordained minister, and he and his wife of forty-two years, started a homeless outreach ministry called RV Ambassadors for Christ.  While blessed to travel around the country in an RV, wherever they go, they seek those who are homeless.  They offer water, soap, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, hand sanitizer, socks, snacks, and a New Testament Bible.  When possible, they try to meet individual needs by providing specific items such as gloves, coats, shoes, sleeping bags, and bedrolls.  In Matthew 25:40 Jesus says, “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’”

Bruce’s hope and prayer is, as you read Battle Cry, you are spiritually inspired and motivated to pursue a personal and more meaningful relationship with Christ.  Bruce believes your relationship with Christ is directly tied to your spiritual strength.  Through the strength of the Spirit, and by following the Spirit’s lead, you will discover all that God has planned for you.
