Christ in Christmas

Christ in Christmas

Excerpts from Battle Cry Good vs. Evil

Chapter 20 Saul of Tarsus Becomes the Apostle Paul:

Paul says in Second Corinthians 5:17–20 (NLT), “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person.  The old life is gone; a new life has begun!  And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ.  And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.  For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them.  And he gave us the wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us.  We speak for Christ when we plead, ‘Come back to God!’”  If we don’t embrace this task of reconciling people to God, who will?  What makes you think you are different than any of the characters in the Bible? Why would you think you’re not worthy? Why would you think it can’t be you?  No matter where you are in your spiritual walk, you need to keep striving to be the best you can be, in Christ.  You need to shine your Light to become that beacon of hope for others.  Don’t miss your opportunity to be an ambassador for Christ.

Author’s comments:  If you truly belong to Christ, your old life is gone and your new life has begun, and God is making His appeal through you.  During this special time, by keeping Christ in the forefront of Christmas, your Light can truly shine.  After all, Christmas cannot exist without Christ.
